I’m a product designer, researcher, and strategist based in Brooklyn, NY, with over 15 years of experience developing products from a human-centered perspective.
I grew up in Kenya and Bangladesh, which makes me a bit of a third-culture kid. I almost pursued a career in finance but found myself drawn to technology instead since I loved the act of making things (I did start my programming journey with QBASIC!)
After college, I started out as a software engineer but quickly realized my passion lay at the intersection of people and technology. That led me to pursue a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction from IU Bloomington, building on my background in Economics and Computer Science.
Outside of design, my creative well is fulfilled by an ongoing journey in photography as well as a newer pursuit, standup comedy.
My work focuses on people and their stories. In one ongoing project called Everyday Aliens, I document Bangladeshi immigrants in America, capturing quiet moments of belonging and displacement.
Beyond that, I shoot street scenes, music, and travel—always drawn to the human element that ties it all together.
Design, collaboration or mentorship, I’d love to chat. IRL or virtual.
